LAJSA Best Book Award – 2025
The LAJSA Best Book Awards are here! Two awards will be conferred at the XXI LAJSA International Research Conference:
- Outstanding single-authored monograph
- Best edited volume
Eligibility criteria:
- Published between January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024
- Focus on Latin American Jewish Studies
- Written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese
- You must be a current LAJSA member (join here: http://www.lajsa.org/membership-payments/)
Judging criteria:
- Quality of research, analysis, and writing
- Contribution to the field of Latin American Jewish Studies
An honorable mention may also be awarded.
Important dates:
- Submission deadline: January 31, 2025
- Award announcements:
- Online Conference: May 20-21, 2025
- In-person in Bogotá, Colombia: July 3-4, 2025
To submit your book, email a PDF copy to Committee Chair Yael Siman at yael.siman@ibero.mx with the subject line: “LAJSA Book Prize Submission” (in English, Spanish, or Portuguese). In the email, specify whether it’s a single-authored monograph or an edited volume.
